"HSM PerformX was established by Steven M. Hirt in 2020, following a successful career in both industry and business services. Besides leading HSM, Steve is also a Vistage Chair in SW Florida. Before founding HSM, Steve held an executive leadership role at The Village Companies, providing strategic insights and planning across its subsidiaries. In 2003, Steve founded Optima Associates, a firm specializing in strategic and operations advisory services, which was acquired by The Village Companies in 2018. Earlier, he served as the president of the industrial business unit at Performa Inc., an architectural, engineering, and planning firm.

Throughout his career, Steve has held various significant roles including CFO, VP of Finance, Operations Management, and Continuous Improvement across multiple industries. He excels in merging broad strategic visions with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring successful outcomes. Steve collaborates closely with everyone from leadership to frontline staff, emphasizing the importance of alignment and standard work processes for success. Over his career, he has led more than 70 strategic development processes for companies ranging from $20MM to over $1 billion across diverse industries and organizational types.
